These are one of my favorite fruits! I love the taste but not so much the texture – the texture reminds me of mini tomatoes. Considering tomatoes are a fruit too, that’s not unfair. I also find Physalis Berries incredibly beautiful. Delicate fruit enclosed in delicate papery-skin pods.

They come wrapped with long lengths of thread into a ball. The core is their papery pods and fruit is like a jewel outside. I hate the “packaging” & spend time snipping away the thread to disentangle each berry separate.
