Nokia held an “AppTasting” event where they wanted to give a taste of the applications available on their latest mobile phones. The event was at The Oberoi Hotel, New Delhi and the guests were a mix of Page 3 socialites as well as mobile and technology geeks and some misfits like myself. I continue to confuse the names Nikon & Nokia in regular conversation!
From the point of view of the geeks & tech bloggers, there wasn’t anything new being discussed at this event but from the point of view of sheer entertainment and enjoyment, both Vikas Khanna @vikaskhanna1 and Rajiv Makhni @rajivmakhni had a very engaged audience.
I also ended up on stage for a bit when Rajiv asked for volunteers to do a short “ramp walk” with Vikas so he could shoot a short video and show the capabilities of one of the apps [ I wanted to share the video too but after waiting a couple of weeks, have still not received it ]. Apart from the fact that they thought I was a guy when I raised my hand [ maybe because it was dark at the back and I am a recovering “bald-chick”? ], it was fun. As always, was also a pleasure running into @dhruvbhutani and @clintonjeff
