I was going to meet someone I’d only interacted with on email! Always lovely to put a face to a name. The day started with coffee and cute tea-cozy with a heart embroidered on it.
I’d wanted to keep track of what I wore on a daily basis when I went out in London. I’ve never done it consistently earlier and my “style” quotient has recently been upped by the lovely Akanksha Redhu. I had to have something visual to report to her with.
Train to Charing X.
The Elmstead Woods train station is quite well-groomed by volunteers no less. How lovely is that.
The ceiling at Charing X station.
The view as you step out of the Charing X station.
Lunch at Momo! Beautiful interiors – quite a cozy space although the loos were quite dark.
Salman Rushdie recommends the mint tea at Momo and I wasn’t disappointed. How lovely. And an unlimited supply.
Beautiful detail on tables and chairs.
More mint tea and olives.
Food. Blueberry cheesecake – fabulous. Salad. Hummus and lamb. Meat platter with lamb, quail, chicken.
Inventive way of hanging the toilet paper rolls!
Light fixture in the loo.
Ah! Stellar chair in the porch of Momo.
Oh look! Faberge name plate.
Right below the Gemfields name plate!
Beautiful sketch in the Gemfields office.
Flowers by the street near Regent’s St.
On the train back. Raining. The London Eye.
Better view of The London Eye.
And now The Shard.
Headed to Bromley to get the India to UK converter for my laptop wire plug.
And by the end of the day, except my hair, everything else still looks the same. Yay!
Nice wine to end the day. I love London so far! All “eyes for London”!
