I had a go at it yesterday for the first time and today again the weather Gods were kind enough to send another rainstorm my way. Here two more photographs that I got today – after shooting more than a thousand on my Sony 12.1 Megapixel Cybershot.
Shot at night while it was raining – under cover wherever I could find some.
I’ve added these to my Flickr as well in case you want to see the larger versions.

Has to be said ….. “A.W.E.S.O.M.E” ….
that’s a lot of patience to get these 2 shots…!
🙂
Love the contrast in these images.
nice…
i could do better with a low class kodak camera.. 😛 just joking, great pics..
are you serious u got lightening pics, it takes a hell lot of practice to get it right. Anyway the outcome is great.
Hi Sangesh! Yes I managed to get lightning photographs – not practice – just patience – and a lot of running around in the rain and dust storms before the rain hit – all I did was hold up my camera to the sky and keep the shutter pressed – it kept clicking – and when there was lightning, since the camera was already clicking away to glory, the lightning got captured! Simple! And a lot of fun! Cheers! Naina
I know what you mean Pallavi – there really isn’t much to it – my Sony CyberShot too looks like a cheap point and shoot thingie but its amazing what one can do with a simple ‘low class’ camera – I’ve had fun with those and still retain my first point and shoot ‘dabba’! Cheers! Naina
Thanks for stopping by Bhavna and David – I’m decent with Photoshop – so when I don’t like what I see in the photographs I’ve shot, it is Photoshop to the rescue! Glad you liked the photographs. Kind Regards, Naina
