“Petit 008”, is a wearable art brooch from the PETIT Series. It has a 1 inch in diameter wood base, with a circular magnet clasp at the back.

I made the PETIT Series for those times when I’m not in the mood for wearing something too big and flashy. As a photographer and artist, I can get away with wearing ostentatious pieces most of the time. Sometimes, I need a unique but much smaller piece. Most of my clients have been women, so far. And I have had some gentlemen mention that they wouldn’t mid wearing something smaller from my wearable art series. It was just time to try my skills at producing similar shapes on a much smaller size.

The Brooch has been imagined and created by Naina using hand-painted, hand-cut, hand-folded and hand-sculpted acrylic paint on wood. Magnet clasp at back. Original, Wearable, One-Of-A-Kind Art by Naina. #MadeInIndia

The wooden base is 1 inch in diameter. The brooches from the PETIT Series vary in dimensions ranging from 0.5 inches high to 1.5 inches high and 1 inch to 2 inches in length and breadth. Weight : 13 grams.

The piece is signed, dated & named at the back & will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

This is a piece of art. A piece of jewellery. Just like you wouldn’t sit on a painting, scratch it on purpose or try to bend it, use similar care with this piece.

Ideally, store flat, without anything touching the top.

Do not wrap in plastic. Plastic will stick to varnish / acrylics & leave an impression.

Keep away from solvents like isopropyl alcohol and perfume. If such contact is made by mistake, do not try to wipe it. Leave it alone to dry. Do not touch it. The alcohol will evaporate and the varnish will dry on its own.

Excessive heat or cold are best avoided.

If it gets dusty / linty, use a soft dry paint brush to brush into the crevices gently.
