The ELLE Carnival For A Cause is associated with the Ogaan Cancer Foundation and each year, they sell some lovely designer wear and brands at discounted prices and the proceed go to charity. I was finally able to make it to the 2015 edition of the #ELLECarnival, which was being held on the lawns of the Taj Mansingh hotel in New Delhi. Luckily it was a lovely evening in terms of weather and as always, quite a crowd showed up!
There were two sections. One was where all the lovely wares were for sale and you should have been there to see how the ladies and gents working it! Everyone seemed to want a piece of everything! And the ELLE team was everywhere. Taking orders, chatting with guests, welcoming new ones, and generally being awesome hosts.
Check out that haul above! All packed and ready to be picked up! This was one of those Delhi events where if you landed up later than the time that was on the invitation, you were too late to get any of the good stuff!
Malini Banerji working it above! She is so peaceful and delightful. I love being around her. She exudes this calm cool vibe and I love soaking in it.
They even had kids corner where kids were painting Easter eggs and generally having fun. Thoughtful touch.
The other section was all about food and drinks and an auction of these beautiful handbags. The ladies were flocking to that section to think of what number they’d be pinning on later.
The live music was actually quite good! They were singing songs from the 80’s and quite a few other guests who walked by me smiled at me dancing even when I was in the middle of a conversation with someone!
I got to hang out with some people I’d meaning to hang out with and some that I had not expected to! How lovely! Super delightful to have conversations with people I’ve only ever interacted with on Twitter and on email. It was so great getting smashed with Vibhuti and Sumit above. And lovely to finally meet Megha in person below! Sailor spouses FTW!
Hey I HAD to get a selfie in front of one of those gorgeously well-lit yellow-light mirrors they had all around the place! I’m wearing Wendell Rodricks’ dress, carrying a Coach bag and wearing ALDO leather brogues. The camera is my trusty Fuji X100.
Reluctantly bade goodbye to the lovely carnival because Easter dinner called! Thank you for having me over PR Pundit. I am glad I was finally able to make it.
