WOODS Shoes Giveaway!

One of the aims of a brand engaging with it’s customers – through blogs or otherwise – is to increase awareness about the new “stuff” they’re stocking. I hadn’t shopped for shoes in a while and my dwindling shoe-closet [ I had four pairs of shoes ] was indicating that I needed to make a trip out to a shoe-store soon. I usually wear comfortable sneakers because I shoot so much – and I’m almost ALWAYS shooting. And I wear a lot of flats – chappals, floaters, etc. My shoes are usually boring. I’ve worn the 6-inch heels when I was in college but those were heroic acts *giggle*

The Woodland brand has been a family favorite and I’ve worn out many of their rugged boots. But, with this interaction with the brand, I found out that they have a brand for dressy shoes for women! Who knew! I got to pick out two pairs for myself from their South Extension II store in New Delhi AND I got to pick out one pair that I could give away to one lucky reader of this blog. Pretty cool I think.

I’d already scoped out one pair that I really wanted but couldn’t decide what the second pair should be.

I know I know. It’s suede and bright orange AND has heels. But these I thought I could manage – and after some testing, I think I made the right choice. Like @santumisra said, a girl needs something to wear at Fashion Week!

I wasn’t too sure about the gold on the tassels on this one but Santu convinced me. This was my second pair. One dressy and one slightly more functional.

I thought the animal print shoes were sexy but I couldn’t dream of buying them for myself – I mean if I was a few years younger, then definitely yes.

I had a cute idea for shooting the shoes they’d given me – it’s called “WOODS” and I thought I’d shoot the shoes with some wood! My drift-wood table never lets me down!
