Anand Bhushan, Fashion Designer
Due to the weather in India, cotton is readily available and convenient to wear. Although, in his initial years, Anand thought cotton was too intellectualized and didn’t end up wearing it because “classic” bored him. Along the way though, he has found his own unique language to interpret & wear it.
The first time he really experimented with cotton was shibori, which made him see the versatility of the fabric and that he could use it in his own way.

( #LiveInCotton is a Tumblr photography project commissioned by the Cotton Council International and I’m one of the photographers working on the assignment. It involves photographing people in their regular, daily lives and sharing their thoughts on wearing Cotton. The photographs first show up on the LiveInCotton Tumblr blog here but I’ve also been itching to share the photographs and some extra on the Naina.co blog as well. )
