The RISA brand has been around for a couple of years and I was recently invited to visit their store at Meherchand Market, New Delhi. Sisters Riddhima and Saloni Sayal are the duo behind the brand. I love leather and was keen to see what an Indian brand was doing with it. I wasn’t disappointed. It is a cosy store with a variety of primarily leather bags on display. You can even request them to customize a bag for you and they will advise you what is possible / ideal / long-lasting.

They call it “affordable luxury” and for once I have nothing to say against that term. Genuine leather, in some cases Italian Patent leather, fantastic attention to detail in the construction and the top range is priced at INR 12,000 ( the bag in the photo above is approximately INR 17,000 – it’s a travel duffel and if this price range isn’t affordable, I don’t know what is. )
