After the tiring and rewarding visit to Old Delhi during the day, it was time to taste some tea at the Mittal Tea House and then move to Hauz Khas Village for a tour of the heritage site as well as Dinner at Zo’s Cafe.
We tried out silver-tips white tea, masala tea ( which almost everyone wanted a repeat serving of! ) and Kashmiri Kahwa. Below is the jar of mango tea that was actively sniffed all around the room – it is regular green tea but with mango essence added to it. The fragrance was better than the taste. My favourite was the masala tea.
From there we proceeded to Hauz Khas Village in a bus. We were driven through Lutyen’s with live commentary by the brilliant Robinson below.
Delhi traffic is notorious and as expected, by the time we reached Hauz Khas Village, the heritage site was about to close for the public. Robinson still snuck in a few minutes of a guided tour before everyone decided to shop and then collect at Zo’s Cafe for cocktails, a fashion show ( yes! Quite a surprise by the wonderful Anu P.D. ) and fabulous dinner.
This wrapped up the lovely #DestinationUnlocked phase of the Le Meridien Delhi gig.
What a fabulous three days it had been! Starting with the launch of Le Meridien Gurgaon, FOUR #CoverUp editions, amazing locations for the #DestinationUnlocked series and lovely people from all over South Asia!
