14 years of the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour and I think this edition might be the most spectacular and glamorous so far. And not just because I’m photographing the goings-on for the brand *wink. I’ll be taking you with me through all the four cities of the BPFT 2018 edition. This post is about Gurgaon, which was the first stop with Tarun Tahiliani showcasing a blend of modern, contemporary ( prints & bold swathes of color ), mixed with the traditional ( the well-known TT detailing, embroidery and drapes ).
This edition of the BPFT is focused on “Pride” and the designers are showcasing their interpretations. While the overall brand positioning is “My Style, My Pride”, each designer is working with their own focus. For example, Tarun’s focus was “My Blend, My Pride” and hence the blending of modern and traditional etc.
In Gurgaon, the fashion tour stopped over at The Quorum Club, where guests got to look at a fashion presentation from an unusual perspective. Seated in the various rooms of the Club, the main event stage area, the first bar, the art gallery, the music stage and lounge, the second bar and the restaurants, almost all guests got to sit front row and watch the garments on the beautiful models as they waltzed past.
There were too many beautiful models for me to possibly even remember all of them, let alone list their names! Notably, it was lovely to see Mehr Jessia looking stunning in that silver and black gown. And Noyonika Chatterjee. Disha Patani, who was the show-stopper positively GLOWED – she’s so young! Kubraa Sait brought some of her special sparkly energy to the room. Archana Vijaya was lovely as always. And then there were the usual beauties, Laxmi, Donna, Arshia, Sonalika and really, so many more, including more than a handful of handsome men. Not to forget some of the guests who could have easily walked with the models.
Next stop for the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour : Hyderabad. Where designer Gaurav Gupta will be showcasing his interpretation of his Pride and Style on the 14th of December.
