This is the product listing page for GRASSEA, which is now marked SOLD.
“I still cannot believe that you actually bought one of my paintings!” That was me, after I had hand-delivered GRASSEA to Neha. My first painting too. Even now, as I’m writing this, I cannot believe that someone actually wanted my art in their home AND purchased it. It is a fantastic feeling and also scary. Will I ever sell another piece? Because GRASSEA is such a beauty. Not sure I will be able to surpass it.
Apart from the usual impostor-syndrome doubts in my brain, the artist’s heart in me is grateful. That I get to do this. That my hand-painted art gets to live in homes that are not my apartment.
GRASSEA is earthy and warm. It flows. The lines create movement. The colors work quite well together. It is a sea of many colours of grass. A cleaner movement than seaweed. Sea grass. I’m so happy with the name of the piece as well.
All 24 inches of it were lovingly painted over a few weeks. The process, like with all my paintings, was meditative. The varnishing took another few weeks. It’s a bright glossy finish that will maintain the brightness and vibrance of colours for years to come. All archival quality.
I was used to seeing the piece hanging on the wall in my living room and now, it’s in a different home altogether. There’s a bit of a hole in my heart. Which is probably why I thought doing a series of commemorative brooches might be a good idea. To keep it closer to my hands for a little while longer.
Hence announcing the release of six commemorative brooches : Grassea 01 and Grassea 02 are 3 Inches in diameter; Grassea 03 and Grassea 04 are 2.5 Inches in diameter and Grassea 05 and Grassea 06 are 2 Inches in diameter. All six brooches are now available to buy on my blog’s shop. You can scroll down to see more photographs of the canvas painting as well as some of the brooches.
More art brooches from the HORIZONS Series can be seen and purchased on the shop.
More of my original paintings, art on canvas can also be seen and purchased on my store. As I finish painting pieces, I continually add them to the store.
I also accept bespoke commissions for both canvas paintings and mini painting brooches. Email me on [email protected]
