Ibtida Ek Mehfil by Tanvi Singh Bhatia and Anubhav, has been working towards the revival and restoration of Mehfils, Baithaks and Experiences to celebrate India. Aadyam Handwoven is a social enterprise of the Aditya Birla Group to create a self-sustaining ecosystem for Indian artisans.
They teamed up at the beautiful Anvaya Delhi for an exclusive and tight-knit pre-Holi afternoon and to my surprise, I accepted their invitation. It sounded like home and family and not only had I been wanting to experience Ibtida Ek Mehfil, I also did not want to be alone on Holi AND they confirmed there would be no colours on me if I did not want them ( and they held up that on their end ).
The weather of course, conspired to make the afternoon even more memorable.
The Weather & The Place

The People

I specialize in making images for discerning clients when they want photographs that will capture and convey the essence of their meticulously planned celebration. I am able to make this claim after being a working photographed for the last 20 years, because of the number of times I have been told, “I’m seeing these photos, and it makes me feel like I was there.” I hope to continue to be able to bring that to my clients and their work for many more years to come.
