Two years after moving to Adelaide, I finally have a media kit.
Feels slightly absurd writing that!
I’ve been a professional photographer and independent publisher for more than 22 years. I’ve worked with Hermès, Cartier, Adobe & Sotheby’s, photographed couture runways for Sabyasachi and Rahul Mishra, and spent my career documenting people, places, art, fashion, food and travel. (See a list of all my clients here.)
And yet, since moving here in 2024, whenever someone asked, “Do you have a media kit?” I usually sent over a custom proposal. And I did not have the one-pager that I used to work with back in India – because I didn’t feel that the data was relevant. I barely even got any responses to emails that I sent out to brands and people in Australia.
Now I have that one-pager.
Moving to a new city in your 40s, let alone a new country, means arriving with an entire career behind you that very few people around you know exists. I felt that I was starting the conversation from scratch.
Over the last two years my work in Adelaide has grown without much of a plan. I’ve photographed local faces and places, covered gallery exhibitions and events, made Instagram reels, launched my EyesForAdelaide photography experiences, and slowly worked out the creative, cultural, hospitality and tourism scene here.
Some of it has lived on my own blog and social channels. Some of it has been with institutions like the Art Gallery of South Australia, whose gallery shop also acquired my wearable art brooches. Some of it started as a quick chat at an event that turned into a collaboration. And a lot of it has been me working out where my photography, publishing and fine art practice fit here.
The media kit puts all of that in one place. It covers my background, the scope of my work, my audience across platforms, selected client history, and indicative pricing for photography, editorial features, social video and podcast. My Adelaide readers read a lot: 6.19 pageviews per user and a 94.11% engagement rate!
The media kit is updated every 3 months and you will always be able to download the latest version at this link.
It isn’t meant to lock every project into a package. My work covers photography, visual storytelling & brand collaborations, and the best projects tend to use more than one of those.
I want to keep working with South Australian businesses, cultural institutions, galleries, wineries, hospitality, tourism, fashion labels and events. I also still work with national and international brands when it makes sense.
If you need a photographer and publisher to tell the story of your brand, venue or project, the media kit is here. You can view it and download it as a PDF.
And if you’re one of the people who’s been asking me for one, thank you for your patience. It’s finally ready.
Don’t forget to look at the links on this website, where you can dig deeper into my photography portfolio, indicative pricing, blog features, and my shop, where I make my art & wearable brooches available for acquisition.
