Previously in this series. 01. Leh. From the air. 02. Drive. Leh to Batalik. 03. Batalik. Day One. and 04. Batalik. Day Two. Part One. and 05. Batalik. Day Two. Part Two. We were done with Batalik and were headed out to remoter areas and had decided on a stop-over in Leh for the night.
above : The day started early and on the drive, there was a lot of shadow-light play on the mountainsides and the river and the trees. Again, fabulous colors. |

above : Riverside paradise! The clumps of trees made interesting dots of color throughout the otherwise barren landscape. |

above : The various moods of @akanksharedhu We’re obviously still fascinate with river-pebbles! | |
above : Thorny bush on the riverside gorge. |
|
above : A hot cup of tea was ALWAYS welcome. The sun was fierce only when we were IN the sunlight and only for about an hour or maximum two hours during the peak afternoon. |
