The latest announcement is that Ranveer Singh is the brand ambassador for Durex India. ( For those of you who are outside India and / or are not familiar with Bollywood, Ranveer Singh is one of India’s leading male actors currently and his star is shining brighter by the day. His debut was the very charming film called Band Baaja Baraat, which was the subject of much conversation amongst wedding photographers 😉 Ranveer’s latest much talked about film was Ram Leela where he is paired with Deepika Padukone and he has since also starred in other films. )
Durex is an RB (Reckitt Benckiser, world leader in household, health and personal care ) brand that produces consumer goods in the sexual well-being category, like condoms, pleasure gels, vibrating rings and massage gels. ( If you didn’t know THAT, living under a rock maybe 😛 )
This has been a much anticipated launch for all involved parties and I was hired to cover the behind-the-scenes for this campaign and to capture the story of how this campaign was created. While the formal launch is tomorrow, i.e. 23rd of April, I’m sharing a small set of photographs to give you some more clues 😉 ( Durex India is also running a contest and there’s hot merchandise to be won. Deadly Bugger Productions and Studio 69 😉 I thought that was a quirky and fun touch to the whole thing.
And there were partitions where even my camera was not allowed. Makes me wonder what was going on behind there – I’m sure I don’t have to wait long to find out either – the Durex India Youtube channel should have the details out soon.
