Some “slow photos” from the #NAINAxRanikhet trip. “Slow” basically means I stopped driving and took out the D800 and made a photo. And hence some decent portraits of my parents. Every trip we make, I tell myself I’m going to spend more time making proper portraits of them and each time we get busy collecting experiences, not always with photos. But since I’m more conscious about making their portraits, whenever I get a chance, I do it. They don’t need to be spectacular photos – just memories. I love the one where my Mom is looking into the camera and Dad is looking away standing behind her. Then I also love the portrait of Mom at the end of this post where she’s looking into the camera – she’s wearing a pink shirt and there’s green in the back – I like how her face looks. It evojes a particular feeling when I look at it – don’t want to articulate it and spoil it. From whatever I know of her, that photo is so HER. It feels like my heart will burst. Especially because we haven’t always had a smooth relationship. I can be an ass sometimes. She can be an ass sometimes. But we both know we love each other, no matter how terribly we express it.
