Fittings for Wendell Rodricks’ “Source Of Youth” for Fiama took place on the 8th of October in New Delhi. In my borrowed words, “Spiritual simplicity representing Africa” summarizes this collection.
Maybe I’m biased – I really like Wendell as a person – but the clothes, the textures, the material, the adornment, the shoes and the make-up all came together to complete a stunning yet simple narrative.
As many of those present – models and other officials – remarked, Wendell’s was one of the quickest fitting sessions! And Wendell still maintians that despite that claim, this was one of the longest fitting sessions he’d done. I can only imagine. The clothes fit, the shoes fit, the music has been well thought out, the make-up was finalized within minutes.
I am looking forward to spending time with my camera at Wendell’s Source Of Youth rehearsals. Once that is out of the way, there were be much excitement for the final show!
