After having been obsessed with Mulled Wine and running out of wine, I’ve discovered Hot Spiced Brandy – perfect for the winter holidays!
You literally throw in a bunch of stuff : cinnamon sticks, cloves, whole black pepper, some of your favourite green tea infusions, chamomile, some dried citrus fruit / berries; all into hot boiling water, cover the mix and leave aside. I’ve currently left it to soak all day and am ready to sip some now at night. 30-60ml of your favourite brand, pour same amount of the infusion, add a tablespoon of honey, 30 seconds in the microwave ( or more depending on how hot you like it ) and CHEERS!
( The pink / red colour in the jar in the photos below is purely because of the infusions, there’s no alcohol in the jar although to tweak more flavour out of the spices, you can add 30-60 ml to the whole jar after it’s cooled down a bit. )
