Saturday lunch was had at Baar Baar at Khan Market. Chef Sujan Sarkar took great care of us, as if we needed more after the stellar company of Karina & Magan. Fantastic food & drinks. Lovely decor.
One of my favorites was the Green Peas & Goat Cheese Kulcha. There’s also a Duck Kulcha. Both eaten nice & hot.
My absolute favourite? Not one but two.
One, the Tuna Paapdi Chat with avocado, green mango, radish, puffed rice, & tamarind chutney.
Two, the chicken liver & the bheja pate (served hot) with local bread.
The Baar Baar fried Chicken came highly recommended: bathed first in brine, then buttermilk, then marinated in tandoori masala and filled with a crispy fry. Yummy.
We also had the Belgian Pork belly, (tandoori BBQ), with pickled mooli, charred chilli, masala crackling, garlic chives, & pickles. And also deserves a mention : Mullet cutlet.
The cheese platter was nice, my favorite being there study cheese with apricots! In love.
The churros were probably the best I’ve ever had in NCR. They are served with a chocolate sauce with bits of Raagi Brownie.
Baar Baar is an Indian Gastro Pub pop-up. From New York City to New Delhi.
