Having visited TownHall late at night a couple of months ago, I was curious to go there again. It is a large space with lots of seating options and a beautifully full menu. So when a friend suggested we catch up for dinner at TownHall, Khan Market, I went happily.
The service was great. One of the waiters was really really nice. I waited for my friend, I was early. I asked for Lemon Soda and was served in a “banta” bottle. The menu is a file folder and I studied it while waiting. I take forever to decide so I usually try to look at the menu as soon as possible. There’s a bunch of options for starters / mains / noodles / dim sums / sushi etc. I love dimsums and use that as one of the parameters to judge how nice the food at a restaurant is. I ordered the chicken + spinach dim sums. The sauce was lovely and the food was nice.
For the main course, I had my eye on the black cod. There are two options. One with Miso and one is steamed. I’m off sugar for a bit and the waiter pointed out that Miso would have sugar. So I ordered the steamed black cod and it was FABULOUS! Well-cooked, subtle flavours and good enough portion for one person. My friend ordered mozzarella and tomato salad and that was decent. The other stuff that was ordered, which I photographed but didn’t eat were the red snapper and the dessert. They looked nice.
Pricing is similar to Khan Market’s average, a little on the higher side. I’d definitely go there again.
