but you can smell the flowers
for now.
the gate will open
we will unveil
our hearts
our love”

There isn’t much to say about Aneeth Arora’s beautiful work – more because I’m worried I’ll say something too plain, too simple, less deserving. I don’t know of anyone who does not appreciate the detailing and hard work that goes into each garment under the péro label. It boggles my mind how much time it takes to make the simple-looking crocheted brooch I was wearing on my jacket’s pocket. Both Bharat and I were thrilled to be able to visit the péro studio in person yesterday to get a sneak peek of their virtual runway show today on Day Four of #AIFWSS17. As expected, I was in love with the colorful, detailed pieces that take upto 20 days to create from scratch. All hand-made, painstakingly created by the dedicated artists under Aneeth and Jasmeet’s watchful eyes.
The studio space in itself is like an oasis in the Patparganj dusty, concrete jungle. Lots of wood, large glass windows and lots and lots of green. It was a simple and meaningful presentation. Thank you for having us over! Here are some photos and a short video of the garments swaying in the breeze.
