Fashion Week is crazy busy this season! I’ve heard a couple of people say that it’s slow but I have NO idea what they’re talking about – it’s mad busy. Including a ton of buyers for some of the more sought after designers from the Indian Fashion Industry. One of the best ways to tell how busy fashion week really is to see how busy Mr. Sunil Sethi of the FDCI really is. He is the life force behind this behemoth trade event and one of the main reasons it works ( apart from the massive talent in the India industry ), is his relentless push to make this work.
I’m just happy I get to hang out amongst so much colour and fabric and design for a whole week twice a year. I love it despite how much I bitch about the traffic and the non-existent mobile network ( there is free WiFi though, which I only found out about on Day Two! ). Each day, we reach the NSIC Exhibition Grounds thinking that we will attend at least ONE runway show and before we know it, it is 7 pm and we want to kick off our shoes, pop open a beer at our desks at the home office. Where the time goes is anybody’s guess. And this is when I’m not even photographing for #EyesForStreetStyle because – wait for it – NO TIME! Yikes!
How I’m managing the time to decide what to wear is another story. I wore an all-green look today – because I felt like it. ( Actually, it was because I saw some fabulous green Chanderi on the first runway show of #AIFWSS17 and I could not get it out of my head. ) I wore a jacket, a v-neck t-shirt, a pair of high waisted denim shorts, a pair of light green tights, green leather shoes, green brioche-cut emerald ear rings, and a tiny hand-crocheted Pero brooch on the jacket’s pocket. Everything except the jacket is from American Apparel, which I had purchased on the #EyesForNewYork gig.
If you’ve been following my hop skip and jump through #AIFWSS17, you’ll know that I’m wearing a complete Kiko Milano beauty look. I wrote about the products I’m using in details in the blog feature from Day Two. I used the blue and green eye-pencils today to compliment the all green look. I also wore a plain blue nail paint from the Kiko Mlano cosmetics collection.
