After the Jama Masjid and the Red Fort, on the SAME DAY ( much to my “Why did I agree to this?” chagrin ), I took Shiori to Connaught Place for some food and chai at the United Coffee House. Walked past some lovely street art and graffiti and settled in to chow down Indian street food – but served in clean environs – and priced accordingly. Both of us giggled for some time at the “From the depths of time” “Volcanic” drinking water in a bottle. The masala chai and the street food were wonderful and we gobbled it all up.
Sorry I took some time to edit and post this – there’s just one more set to go – from the city of Varanasi, which should be coming up next week. And then, just like Shiori’s India trip came to an end, my blog series about her trip will also come to an end – to be preserved here for posterity – until my trip to Tokyo!
