Even though this issue of HTBrunch is a Women’s Day special, and Women’s Day is on 8th of March, as far as I’m concerned, this whole week, I’m going to be celebrating my first ever cover, so it’s “cover girl week” for me!

Apart from the fact that this is the first time I have been photographed for a cover feature, it is especially lovely to have been for Hindustan Times Brunch. Sure I’ll be a bit biased because they put me on the cover – but what makes it unique is that the publication is also a client. They have hired me for photography assignments – there’s one in this very issue! So, I am on the cover and in the magazine AND a feature I photographed is also in the same issue! And I had photographed the Sharmila Tagore & Soha Ali Khan cover for HTBrunch as well.

These are a LOT of firsts for me and I couldn’t be more pleased. I could barely sleep last night because I was agonizing over how to blog about this, what to write, which photographs to edit and upload etc. That I was able to keep this under wraps for more than a week ( the photo shoot took place more than a week ago ), is in itself a miracle! I was bursting at the seams to shout it from the rooftops.

For me, HTBrunch is a unique combination of great client and amazing PR! Thank you Jamal, Lubna and Samreen.

After photographs of the cover, inside pages etc. there’s photographs from behind-the-scenes from the day of the photo shoot. Mainly, selfies with all the cover girls and OMG I will never get over the amazing lipstick application from that day by Agnes. I’ve already harped about it many times. I’ve attempted to replicate it and I might just have found THE best way to apply lipstick that really suits the shape of my face and lips! Thanks Agnes!

Last photo, right at the bottom of this blog post, is of me when I’d just woken up and had been handed a copy of the magazine. I’m a bit zoned out but also that smile tells me everything.
