The Alpha Stories is a labour of love produced by @TedhiLakeer It is a magazine for the Indian Armed Forces produced by the wife of an Indian Armed Forces Officer. And I was lucky to be featured in their latest issue! You can also find them on Twitter @alphastories and their website is here.
The photographs are from my visit to Batalik and Chushul in the Ladakh region of India where the 13 Kumaon Regiment was serving when I visited. Chushul is close to Rezang La where the Rezang La battle was fought between the Indian and the Chinese armies in 1962. Following are some more images with my father Brig. VP Singh and others.
Above is the bust of Major Shaitan Singh who received the Param Vir Chakra posthumously.

Awesome photos!
I’m an ex fauji and a forever Kumaoni. 13Kumaon never ceases to well me up and your photos added that ‘being there’ feel.
Great work, Naina. Thanks a lot. We are an ever-grateful people to our brave soldiers: the keepers of our freedom and honour.
Respected Ma’am,
First of all I’d just like to say-Well Done!” to you for the basic fact that you did reciprocate the ARMY for what it made you-A winner for life! Many times we ‘Fauji Brats’ forget to thank the “fauj” but I am glad that you have in your own way and like I will by joining ‘Fauj’
May God Bless.
