It’s almost summer-time in Delhi. Which is a shame because I wasn’t done yet with my winter-wear! Luckily these lovely #MadeInIndia brands came to the rescue to put this lovely Indian look together. The st+art festival that has taken over Delhi’s streets was a beautiful addition to the #MadeInIndia backdrop.
My focus with what I wear is almost always about “comfort”. So, when I end putting together something like this look, I am resoundingly reminded that style doesn’t have to be compromised on for the sake of comfort. This entire look was comfortable. Full sleeves covered my arms from the harsh Sun, while the thin fabric kept me from getting too hot. The “ghaagraa” was airy and elegant, and happy! The jewellery is dainty and elegant – not over-bearing and not taking away from the look. The shoes are comfortable flats that I wore while driving and walking around the exhibit. The bag was quite a crowd-puller. Every person who saw it, commented how lovely it was. The red-coloured insides and the impeccable construction of the leather were instant eye-catchers.
When I first put everything together and stood in front of the full-length mirror, I might have whistled at what looked back at me. I really did not expect all of this to come together so well. All four brands are new discoveries and I am thrilled that I continue to find such splendid quality and craftsmanship.
