The decor was beautiful drapery of georgette-type multi-pastel-colored cloth. Delicate colors and beautiful.
Meera’s Mum was getting mehendi applied on her skin despite her being allergic to it. The last time she had mehendi on her skin was when she got married. Yes. That long.
There was some cricket on the side as well. Boys weren’t really into the whole Mehendi ceremony except for their momentary curiosity.
By the time the ceremony wrapped up, it was dusk and the lights came on.
