It’s not everyday one finds a treasure like this buried at the bottom of the fruit basket.

It’s a rotten Apricot / Peach with fungus on it. If you’re upset, you could throw it. On the other hand, if you’re like me, you’d jump with glee and quickly take out the healthy fruit – [ rather unceremoniously – so that they don’t spoil this one ] – and rush to set up light so you can make portraits of this beauty!

I posted a snapshot on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram yesterday and most people were able to correctly guess what it was. Some rather nice comments also included things like “Tiramisu Peach”, “Angry Bird”, and even a “Tear-drop shaped ageing Sun going into atrophy”! I have some awesome people around me. I appreciate their presence.

Every once in a while, there’s this thing you do. You do it not because you want to but because that’s what you’ve always been doing. Habit. Convenience. Boredom. Thoughtlessness. When you break the pattern, complement it with recalling this quote, “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.” [ I searched but couldn’t find who said it – some claim Henry Ford, others Tony Robbins – I’m inclined to believe the former but for some reason I keep thinking Albert Einstein. ]
