Here I was, getting ready to go to bed in India when I saw the email from VSCO announcing another stunning edition of film presets : VSCO Film 07, Eclectic Films. I then HAD TO buy it immediately, apply it to some of my favourite photographs from the month of May and write about it on the blog. Because, HELLO! It’s VSCO! For the contrast-lover photographer, there are two presets that are my favourites out-of-the-box, no tweak required. These are Ektachrome 64 and Agfa Ultra 50. ( You can, of course, tweak the contrast within Lightroom and make these presets your very own! ) Without much ado, here are some photographs, with the preset used mentioend under each. I’m obsessed with the square format currently – although I photograph everything in full FX scale on my Nikon D810 or D800, I am testing the square crop almost 90% of the time.

These are pretty mush as-is applications of the latest VSCO Film 07 release. I usually tweak a lot more and each series of photographs from one particular story is consistent in tone and contrast as much as possible. I’m definitely leaning towards Kodak Ektachrome 64 and Agfa Ultra 50 as my two absolute favourites in this set. Love it!
All photographs above have been photographed on the Nikon D800 or the Nikon D810.
