It would be fair to state that Hermes is one of my favourite brands on the planet. Their attention to detail, how they treat their craftspeople and beautiful workmanship of all that they produce : fragrances, stationery, ready-to-wear, saddles, accessories and the stunning scarves. Nothing is spared the exacting Hermes standards. The Hermes story and heritage are worthy of paeans being dedicated to them as far as I am concerned. They are also currently the only luxury brand to be posting growth consistently.
I have been associated with Hermes earlier : celebrating their 5th anniversary in India, obsessing over fragrances here and here, and enjoying the Hermes Silk Ball when it came to India. Since I have been finally working on some personal-style visual stories on Naina.co under #CoverUp lately, it was a natural progression to work on one with Hermes as well. That it is blazing hot in an exceptionally severe summer and Hermes has a particularly appealing collection of swimwear, was shining serendipity.
Any excuse for spending a leisurely day by the pool, being photographed wrapped in the finest luxury fashion the world has to offer! On a blisteringly hot Delhi Summer day, dipping in the cool waters of a swimming pool ensconced in one of the greenest parts of the city, far away from the maddening crowds. Covered from head to toe in Hermes finery.
These orange boxes elicit quite a response from anyone who lays eyes on them. Recognizable from a mile away, setting hearts aflutter. Mine too.
