Our fourth day in Kasauli was spent walking around soaking up the greenery around us. The Brigade Mess’ lawns are maintained really well considering how much it rains here. The afternoon was spent drinking beer and having lunch at the Kasauli Club. The food was good and we made a couple of squirrel friends too – well mostly Dad did. I was too busy squealing and propping my feet high up on the chairs, scared the squirrels would bite me!
Kasauli has a lot of birds in the trees too but hard to photograph especially when I haven’t ever practised photographing birds. It requires a lot of time and patience and it rains here so much that I’d rather not get my equipment wet.
I’m writing the day four blog post on day five because we’ve photographed so much! I can hardly keep up – and the internet connectivity is miserable. If the internet connectivity had been what it’s at home in Noida, I’d probably be blogging twice a day currently. Kasauli is a beautiful place and this is the first time in many years just the four of us have taken a vacation together. It’s been fairly typical so far. Some things never change.
