Last night, I posted about the flight from Phuket to Bangkok as Part ONE of the story of my sixth day in Thailand – because that in itself was a beautiful flight, mainly because of the views. Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok is also a thing of beauty all on its own and then we were accomanied by some beautiful cloud formations, with the sun peeking through, during our drive from the airport to our hotel near Lumpini Park.
So, this is Part TWO of the story of my sixth day in Thailand! Enjoy the architecture of the airport to start with and then the arterial road of Bangkok, and accompanying architecture and sky.
Akanksha twisted her knee because something much bigger than her slammed into her while being whacked around in the waves at Mai Khao beach. She’s now hobbling along with the knee-compression thing to prevent further damage. Getting better by the day but slower than we would’ve liked. It is always a bummer if someone gets hurt or falls sick during a vacation trip.
Part THREE will have photos from our evening walk to find dinner and dinner itself.
Today, Day Seven, we have had breakfast and are planning to go explore what is apparently Thailand’s largest pop-up market. Let’s see how that goes. Weather forecasts say rain and I can see clouds in the sky, with blue patches and plenty of sunshine. It’s going to be hot, till it gets wet.
