The online initiative by the India Government, myGov.nic.in has piqued my interest enough for me to actually go sign up on it. I’m not entirely sure what to make of it, but I’ve made my very first contribution to their “Design E-Greetings for Independence Day” endeavor. ( The moderator hasn’t accepted / approved it yet at the time of posting. ) The image you see above is what I have submitted. Keeping in mind that I don’t participate in spec contests, in my opinion this one doesn’t really fall in that category. I’m doing this more out of curiosity than anything else.
In the same spirit, you can also download the above image and use it as an e-greeting if you’re into such things and email it to your mailing list or friends / fellow country people. It would be nice to have a link back to the original blog post, not only so I can get some credit but also because this might help more people sign up on the Government’s portal.
And, if you would like to see this print on your wall ( see what it looks like below ), you can now buy it from my online store as well! It’s a square print and looks something like this. Pricing starts at INR 6,200 ( no additional taxes or shipping ) for a 12 x 12 inch framed and mounted canvas print.
In whatever small way, it feels nice to be able to contribute. ( I do pay taxes so that’s a whole different level of contribution. )
Happy Independence Day!
Hope you find peace and happiness and don’t worry too much about the Government watching us *wink*
