This special blog feature is for one of my favourite sections at the museum : Palanquin Handles. From the Heritage Transport Museum earlier during the #DestinationUnlocked tour with Le Meridien Gurgaon.
As part of Le Meridien New Delhi's Destination Unlocked program, a tour of Old Delhi was followed by a visit to the Mittal Tea house - and some tea tasting, which was followed by a visit to the lovely Hauz Khas Village.
As part of Le Meridien New Delhi's Destination Unlocked program, a tour of Old Delhi included walking the lanes within lanes of Chandni Chowk, Khari Baoli, street food and lunch at Masterji Kee Haveli. Lots of flowers and spices led the way.
As part of unlocking Gurgaon as a destination during the course of the Le Meridien Gurgaon launch, I got to visit the stunning Heritage Transport Museum< that is run by Mr. Thakral of Le Meridien New Delhi. The museum is at Taoro / Taoru in Haryana, about a 90 minute drive from Le Meridien Gurgaon. The museum houses an eclectic collection of cars, hand carts, palanquins, boats, a train compartment and even a bi-plane.
